I’m a front-end developer. I love JavaScript and Ruby. My code lives here. This is my baby.

When I was about 20 years old a friend of mine showed me a website he made for his band. I was impressed (this was 1998, that shit was impressing). I asked him how he made it and he said “I made it with Microsoft Word“. It was at that moment that I knew I wanted to create websites. So I popped open Word and it didn’t go so well. From there it went to Netscape Composer and it quickly escalated to a Dreamweaver situation. That eventually lead me into the dark world of hand coding HTML and CSS. You can tell where this is going.

Before you know it I’m using SASS and Compass to numb the pain of my CSS habit while going to the Ruby clinic to kick PHP. It’s gotten worse recently. Subversion just wasn’t cutting it for me anymore, I needed some harder shit, so I’ve been abusing git and github pretty heavily lately.

I love writing code. I like the way it feels when the ternary operator turns 6 lines into one. I get excited when I write code that reads like a sentence. I could spend hours abstracting and refactoring code. In short, it gives me a nerd boner. At this point, I’ve resolved myself to live with it. This website is a small part of this addiction.
